Champion LPC3 Pool Cue

I ordered the LPC504-U with 11.75 tip. Was told they don't make it anymore. After several emails I decided on the LPC3-U with 11.75 tip. It took over two weeks to arrive. I like the look of the LPC3 but silver joint was scratched up. From the first time I played with this cue, I hear a cracking noise like the ferrule is broken inside. I am concerned this will affect my pool playing. The good - I like the tip shape and it holds chalk well. The joints connect smoothly and have a firm feel. I did not have a choice of the free gift. On the website is shows if your order is over $100 you get your choice of rectangle or circle gator shaper grip tip tool. I was sent the Champion glove. I have gloves already. I was looking to order a break cue but given the outcome of this order I have changed my mind. I don't recommend this pool cue given the problems I have had.
